Ghanaian legend music producer cum movie producer Ahmed Banda popularly known as Bandex has said a lot of people are using his son’s name Rahim Banda to scam ladies on Facebook
Rahim Banda has been featured in a lot of Ghanaian Movies including GHALLYWOOD and Kumawood
The father of Kumawood actor Rahim Banda is in state of shock and posted on his Facebook wall saying a lot of people are using his son’s name for scamming
According to him, a lady reported a scamming issue to the Cyber Crime Unit at the Headquarters that Rahim Banda has scammed her and therefore she wants him to be arrested.
Mubarak Yakubu in an interview with the father says the lady claims she had a chat on Facebook with Rahim and she sent him money.
“sometimes people call me with complains that Rahim has defrauded them, Rahim is not on Facebook. Someone reported at the Police Headquarters, Cyber Crime that Rahim has taken her money”
“I asked the lady whether she knows Rahim very well, has she met him in person but she said no so I made her used her phone to call Rahim’s personal phone and they spoke instantly so I asked whether the voice sounds the same with the person she sent the money to but she said no”
He said this isn’t the first time this is happening in the name of his son
Bandex further said a lot of people are using his son’s name to scam people
He added that it is worrying them a lot because people are taking huge amount like Ghc 5, 000, Ghc2, 000 in the name of Rahim Banda which he knows nothing about.
