The innovative ideas of the new generation signal the country is on the right track and that with unity, Ghana will turn into a vibrant, modern and transformed country and a true leader in the sub-region, President John Dramani Mahama has said.
In a Facebook post, Mr Mahama noted that a meeting he recently had with the next generation of Ghana Club 100 companies and small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) really gave him hope that the country was on the right path.
“We are a young and youthful nation, and we still have to consolidate our path. I fully acknowledge that the youth should be our top priority, both in Ghana and in Africa. This is why I was honoured to host a meeting with representatives from the next generation of Ghana Club 100 companies and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This is part of my meetings with our business community. SMEs account for 90 per cent of Ghana’s economy, and I am committed to partnering with them so they can become the strong backbone of our transformational agenda.”
He added: “I was truly inspired by the new generation of Ghanaian entrepreneurs. Their innovative ideas give me hope that we are on the right track, and that together we can turn Ghana into a vibrant, modern, and transformed country, a true leader in the sub-region. Together we broke many barriers and overcame many challenges – and we will continue to do so, because Ghana is our better selves. Let us all keep working together to change more lives and transform Ghana.”
