Head of Fifa/Caf Liaison Team for Ghana Football, Kofi Amoah, headlines the Normalization Committee which will continue the administration of the sport in the West African country.

Amoah, Ghana’s Local Organization Committee Chairman for the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, will preside over the four-member unit, with Lucy Quist named as the vice president.

Lawyer Dua Adonten and Naa Odofoley Nortey complete the list.

Former Ghana Football Association president Alhaji MND Jawula, who was widely reported as the fifth member of the committee, was not included.

The identity of the committee’s membership was announced at the GFA premises in Accra on Thursday. Each member passed an eligibility checked carried out by Fifa’s review committee.

The Normalization Committee takes over from the Liaison Team which has been running football in the country following the fall of the Ghana Football Association three months back.

On June 6, an investigative documentary exposed corrupt and match-fixing activities of top officials and referees of the FA, leading to the resignation of president Kwesi Nyantakyi and the dissolution of the Executive Committee.

After the Ghanaian government withdrew a court petition to liquidate the FA, Fifa announced that a Normalization Committee was to take over the administration of football until March 31, 2019.

According to the world football’s governing body, the work of the committee includes “running the GFA’s daily affairs and cooperating with the special task force, reviewing the GFA statutes to ensure compliance with the requirements of Fifa and Caf, particularly art. 15 of the FIFA Statutes” and “organising and conducting elections of a GFA executive committee on the basis of the revised GFA statutes once the GFA statutes meet the requirements of Fifa and Caf”.
