donate1The Chief Executive Officers of Dormaa Ahenkro based radio Station voice 94.3 fm, Mr Atta Dabone Senior and Mr Atta Dabone Junior and their family have donated a total of 10 packets of roofing sheets to support the Dormaa Ahenkro Community in the Bring Ahafo Region, following a severe rainstorm that hit the town recently.

The rainstorm swept through the town about two weeks ago, ripping off the roofs of about 100 houses and forced many of the affected persons to put up with their relatives and friends.

The catastrophe killed two people and also damaged to erected electricity poles in the town. Mr Atta Dabonee Junior, who donated the items on behalf of the family, consoled the affected persons, saying they had shown a great courage in the face of the tragedy and also urged residents of the town both living abroad and home to come to the aid of the affected persons.donate2

Hon. Gordon Asubonteng, the. Municipal Chief Executive of Dormaa Ahenkro who received the items on behalf of Dormaa Municipal Assembly and also Dormaa Emergency Response Committee lauded the family for the concern they have shown to the community and called on the National Disaster Management Organization, institutions,Churches and Stake holders to step up efforts to relief the Community of their plight.
