A man believed to be in his 40s has been found dead in front of the Methodist Church at KO in the Kumasi metropolis.
The body was found in the early hours of Friday July 14, 2017.
Although the cause of his death is unclear, some eyewitnesses told Accra FM’s Elisha Adarkwah that he had earlier complained of stomach ache.
A packet of cigarettes was discovered in his hand as he lay lifeless on the ground.
The assembly member for K.O. electoral area, Alexander Kesse, expressed worry over recurrent cases of dead bodies being found in the area.
According to him, about three bodies have been found in the area within a month.
He, therefore, appealed for tight security in the area to secure the residents, though he could not confirm whether the deceased was lynched or died naturally.
The Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, C/Supt Kwaku Buah, has said preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased died of stomach ache.
He added that the remains of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary awaiting identification.
