Ghanaian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe on Friday night put his South African opponent for the IBO lightweight championship belt Mzonke Fana in hospital after the bout.
Fana was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after he collapsed having gone the full 12 rounds with the Ghanaian at the newly constructed Bukom boxing arena.
Fana was knocked down twice in the first two rounds.
Tagoe emerged victor to become the new IBO lightweight world champion with a unanimous decision from all three judges.
