Former national team coach Frederick Osam-Duodu has died.
He passed away on Tuesday October 4 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
Osam-Duodu won the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations, the 1993 African U-20 trophy and was silver medallist at the 1993 FIFA World Youth Championship.
He was also coach of the Black Stars during the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
In 2005, he led Gambia’s Under 17 to win the African juvenile competition and qualified them for the World U-17 tournament for the first time.
Mr Osam-Duodu also became head coach of the Black Starlets squad that qualified for the African Championship in Togo in 2007.
He was 82.
