The paramount chief of the Vakpo Traditional Area in the North Dayi constituency of the Volta Region, Togbe Gbogbolulu V, has told the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, that North Dayi should be among the first beneficiaries of his one-district-one-factory policy if he gets elected as president in the December polls.
The NPP flag bearer made the promise to reduce the spate of unemployment in the country in the next NPP government.
“My appeal to you is that if God-willing you are given the chance as president, North Dayi should be among the first beneficiaries in the country of this important policy,” Togbe Gbogbolulu told Nana Akufo-Addo, who is on a five-day campaign tour of the region.
“We have identified with your manifesto, especially with particular reference to your one-district-one-factory and yearly release of one million dollars to every constituency for development and job creation.”
The NPP is in the Volta Region, hoping to convince the people of the governing party’s stronghold to change their voting pattern.
