The beneficiary districts included Adentan, Madina La-Nkwantanan and Shai Osudoku, all in the Greater Accra Region; Nandom, Lawra, Jirapa, Nadowli, Wa Central and Wa West in the Upper West Region; and Bole and Damango in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Mr Gyimah told ClassFMonline.com that: “Over 4,918 people benefited from the free eye screening exercise while 333 with cataract, pterygium, squint and ptosis-related cases have also undergone free surgeries with 2,800 drops and 244 eyeglasses given out.”
