Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo has named Samini, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and several others as entertainment personalities he would want to work with when elected president.
According to him, he believes these young energetic talents will champion his cause as president.
“I am encouraged by the creativity and sense of enterprise of several of Ghana’s young people. This reinforces my unshakeable believe in the prospects of our nation as Black Star of Africa.”
“So I speak of talent such as Sarkodie, Samini and his friend Shatta Wale, Kwabena Kwabena, Joyce Blessing, Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, Edem, SP Kofi Sarpong, Becca, Eyfa, R2bee, Kwaw Kesse.”
Nana Akufo Addo made the revelation while speaking at the 15th anniversary of the NPP’s tertiary student wing, TESCON at the University of Ghana.
Nana Addo is not the first politician to pick his favourites in the entertainment scene. Few months ago, President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama in an interview also talked about Ghana’s showbiz personalities.
He mentioned Shirley Frimpong Manso, John Dumelo, Lil Win and several other names as his favourite artistes in their various spheres of entertaining career.
