A philanthropist and prominent Ghanaian businessman, Mr Ibrahim Mahama, has stressed on the need for affluent individuals in Ghana to extend support to their communities, emphasizing that failure to do so is imprudence.
Speaking at an engagement with some movie stars in Kumasi on October 25, 2025, Mr Ibrahim Mahama underscored this philosophy while officially inviting participants to the collaborative dramalogue programme “Akwaaba vs Oobakɛ”, presented by Liezer-Legacy Productions in partnership with Kumawood Ashanti Film Association (KAFA).
He stated, “If you live in a country where help is needed and you don’t help, you are a stupid man. You can’t be the richest man in the cemetery. You’ll die and leave it one day.”

Proceeds from this event are directed toward securing a permanent office complex for KAFA, aiming to bolster structured growth for film and theatre in the Ashanti Region.
