Hearts of Oak Managing Director, Gerald Ankrah, has revealed to Joy Sports that striking supporters who have concerns about how the club’s board is run must use the recognized communication channels or remain silent.
A section of aggrieved Hearts fans are calling for the resignation of board chairman Togbe Afede XIV. And earlier this week at a press conference, pointed out the board’s failure to improve the team since taking over five years ago.
But Ankrah has called for proper channeling of their grievances.
“In all institutions there are dissenting voices, but talking specifically about the Project Phobia press conference, they are not recognized in the club.”
“There are channels or organs through which grievances are channeled, therefore if you take the group that is in question they belong certain grouping or chapter in the club they must follow suit.”
“Once the constitution of Hearts does not recognize any grouping called concerned or Project Phobia they should find their way through the organs and their grievances will be heard.”
The calls for the board to be disbanded have been fuelled greatly by the club’s poor performance on the field of play which saw them narrowly escape relegation last season.
