New coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Samuel Kwesi Fabin, has expressed excitement about his new appointment.
The former National U-17 head coach signed a one-year contract to take charge of the club for the 2017/18 season.
The 59-year old experienced local coach and UEFA Pro License holder replaces former head coach Steven Pollack after failing to qualify the club to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Mr Fabin, who is re-joining the Porcupine Warriors after a 3-year stint between 2019 and 2012, has the task of building a winsome side.
Speaking to the media, he expressed his delight in joining the club and pledged to work hard to put the club back to the top.
“I’m delighted to be here. I promise to work hard to improve the team and get it at the level that we all can be proud of,” he stated.
The new coach met his assistant, Akakpo Patron, shortly after the signing and would meet the rest of the technical team and the playing body at the Adako Jachie training grounds on Monday, 26 February 2018.
Mr Fabin previously coached Hearts of Lions and Hearts of Oak and was also the interim head coach of Inter Allies before becoming the head coach of the Black Starlets.
