President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo consulted extensively before coming out with his list of District Chief Executives (DCEs), Offinso North MP Collins Ntim has said.
According to him, the grassroots of the party were involved in the appointments, hence the president will not impose any individual on any district.
President Nana Akufo-Addo is to name his District Chief Executives today, Wednesday, 26 April.
Speaking on this in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom, on Accra100.5FM on Wednesday April 26, Mr Ntim said: “The President started the consultation on the appointments of DCEs and MCEs about three months ago. He has consulted the grassroots at the constituency level. During that consultation, all members of the party who believed they had the expertise to be DCE were asked to submit their names for the constituency to present them to the regional branches and the national office.
“At the national level, a committee headed by Peter Mc Manu was formed by the president to coordinate names that were submitted. The president held a serious and wide consultation on the appointment of the DCEs and so he will not impose anybody on any district.”
