President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was on Friday, 5 May, decorated with the highest national award of Burkina Faso, the Grand Croix de l’Ordre National.
The presentation was done by the President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré.
Mr Akufo-Addo’s two-day tour of Burkina Faso was to strengthen Ghana’s ties with the Francophone country, with the development of railway infrastructure, agriculture and water resources top of his agenda.
In a joint communiqué issued at the end of his visit on Friday, May 5, 2017, it was resolved that the two countries reinforce their co-operation in the areas of railway transport, agriculture, water, security, trade, works and housing, and energy.
Nana Akufo-Addo has since left that country for La Cote d’Ivoire.
