Hip life artiste, Nana Boroo, has said he continuous to enjoy gigs around the world from his hit song ‘Aha yɛdɛ’ eight years after releasing the song.
‘Aha yɛdɛ’ was an instant hit and went on to win the 2011 most popular song in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking on Entertainment Capital, on Accra100.5 FM on Saturday, 24 February 2018, the award winning musician noted that despite the numerous criticisms, Ghana music has a bright future.
“There is a lot of future in the music industry because I get shows every summer and I go on tours every year in Europe with the ‘Aha yɛdɛ’ song I did eight years ago,” he stated.
The ‘bɛbia soso’ hit maker, further noted that corporate bodies in the country have come to understand the business side of music and therefore consult artistes before they use their songs for their events.
“The corporate world has now come to understand the business. A company can call an artiste to be their brand ambassador or to use ‘your song.’ The old days where someone can just use your song without your concern and can even insult you if you approach them is over, if you try that now, someone can sue you, so there is a lot of future for the music industry” he added.
Nana Boroo is currently promoting his new single titled “Broken Heart” featuring Sarkodie.
