Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku has penned her experiences in life as woman into a book which is set for release in February, 2018.
The book titled ‘Silence is not Golden—Musings of an untold story’ gives an account of the hurdles and successes the actress has come across in her life.
At a press conference held on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the AH Hotel at East Legon in Accra, Kafui Danku said the last years of her life have been filled with disappointments and a little mistrust.
“So, whilst I was going through that face I realized that other women were going through the same thing I was going through due to emotions that were suppressed but the then very few people are able to notice,” she noted.
She explained that she chose the title ‘Silence is not Golden’ because there are a lot of women who have gone through pain and hurt in silence.
“So, after some few eye openings and knowledge I have decided to write a book. A book called ‘Silence is not Golden’ because I have suffered a lot in silence and that a lot of women are suffering in silence,” she said.
Kafui stated that “the book has a solution to women who are childless or those who have been on the journey before, those waiting on God’s list for their own miracle, those who want to be part of the solution and also men that are genuinely concerned.”
Kafui Danku, under the aegis of her ABC Productions has released movies like ‘Letters to My Mother,’ ‘Devil in a Dress,’ ‘Happy Deathday’ and ‘I Do.’
