The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Director of elections of the NDC, has said.
According to him, Ghanaians are calling on the main opposition party in Ghana to rescue the country from the current Akufo-Addo-led government.
He noted, while speaking in an interview with Accra News’ Obeng Mensah Katakyie on Monday, 25 June that the NDC only needs to unite its rank and file to enable the party recapture political power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His comments follow the just-ended constituency executive elections of the NDC which took place on Saturday, 23 June.
Mr Ofusu-Ampofo said: “Victory will be ours in the 2020 elections given the way we are conducting our internal elections.
“Those who lost in the just-ended constituency executive elections have pledged their support for the winners and are ready to fight for power
“They are poised and determined to rescue Ghana from the hands of President Akufo-Addo and the NPP-led government that isn’t performing.”
He added: “The future looks bright for the NDC because the party is poised to unite towards 2020.”
