The President for Child Right International, Bright Appiah says it is unethical for the Ghana Education Service to deny children of their right to education no matter the circumstance.
Speaking in an interview, Bright Appiah further explained that Ghana Education Service should rather employ more appropriate means of punishment other than dismissal.
According to him, GES informed them that they are investigating what transpire before they will bring out their final verdict on the children.
He says they needed the investigation report in order to be able to diagnose the conduct of the children to profess a proper solution for them but to no avail.
He added that they know right to education for Children is compulsory, however, for GES to deny them that right means the children have committed serious offense that will be necessary for that behavior to be corrected rather than denying them right to education.
The President for Child Right International, Bright Appiah in his explanation says the children’s behavior is abnormal and once a child begins to show abnormality, it requires for them to obtain social enquire report on them to know the source of their problem or psychological makeup so that they can subject them to a clinical service that can help them come back to have a normal behavior.
He added that sacking them means they have not been corrected but rather allowing them to go to the society and affect others with such behavior.
