West Ham manager David Moyes expressed his temptation to start Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus in the team’s upcoming matches after a disappointing 4-1 defeat in the Premier League.
Kudus, who made a brilliant impact off the bench in his last appearance as he scored a superb goal against Newcastle United, has garnered attention from fans who are eager to see him as a regular starter.
Despite his limited playing time since his €43 million move from Ajax in the summer, Kudus has showcased his brilliance. West Ham supporters have been calling for Moyes to give the attacking midfielder more starting opportunities, especially after another lacklustre performance from the team’s trusted attackers.
Moyes himself was critical of West Ham’s attack in the recent match, emphasising the lack of an attacking threat. He stated, “We couldn’t pick anyone out, and it led to us hardly creating any chances to score.”
Moyes recognised the potential in Kudus, saying, “I’m tempted to start Kudus every game.” However, he also emphasized the need to strike a balance within the team, as sometimes a change in the lineup can provide positive results, while at other times it can pose challenges.
Kudus, who has already scored three goals for West Ham, could become a more prominent figure in Moyes’ starting lineup as the manager seeks to find the right balance for his team’s success.
