As part of activities marking their 30-year anniversary, veteran gospel trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, has thanked the Ghanaian media for the support shown to them over the decades.
They have, however, called for more support from Ghanaians and the media as they continue to touch lives with their songs.
A member of the group, Cynthia Appiadu, told Nana Romeo, host of Ayekoo Ayekoo on Accra100.5 FM on Wednesday, 23 January 2019, as part of their media tour that: “It has been a 30-year journey and the Lord has been so good to us. We are remembering what the Lord has done for Daughters of Glorious Jesus.”
She added: “We have decided to visit every media house in the country, to thank them. It is only Godly that we also show appreciation for the support demonstrated to us.
“Though Class Media Group has not been in the system for long, they have shown support to us over the few years they have been in operation, so, we are here to thank you. We also have a citation to present to Class Media Group for your support.”
The celebrated gospel group made up of Edna Sarpong, Monica Owusu Ansah and Cynthia Appiadu, has, for many years, treated Ghanaians to a number of great gospel hits such as ‘Mebo Wo Din Daa’, ‘Edin No’ and ‘Asomdwoe Hene’.
