Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has promised to create more jobs for the youth as espoused in the National Democratic Congress’ 2016 manifesto when President John Dramani Mahama retains power in the December polls for second four years.
The Vice President, as part of his three-day campaign tour of the Eastern Region on Friday, September 24, visited Akyem Swedru to rally support for the party’s parliamentary nominee, Robert Ansah.
“In the 2016 NDC manifesto launched in Sunyani, we wish to create jobs for the youth in the next four years. So the next four years is for job creation, it’s for jobs for our people, for our young people who support NDC, for the young people who support other parties,” Mr Amissah-Authur told the crowd.
“We have two categories of jobs: those in the government sector and entrepreneurial jobs. Masons, seamstresses, farmers and others will all have jobs. I, therefore, encourage all of you to vote massively for John Mahama and your NDC parliamentary candidate Robert Ansah; he is a very hardworking man. I have worked with him on several occasions. We have vigorously begun our campaign here in Akyem Swedru and Robert Ansah is the best candidate for you, so rally behind him.”
