Three stray pigs attacked and bit a 4-year-old girl around 4:30pm on Wednesday, January 31 at Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra region.
The victim was left in come after sustaining serious injuries and currently on admission at the St Barnabas Hospital for treatment.
Madam Akua Serwaa, mother of the victim, told Accra FM’s Evans Darko in an interview that she sent the victim to buy something food from a nearby shop. She heard people screaming after some minutes and rushed to the scene only to realise that her daughter has been attacked by pigs.
Meanwhile the Assembly member for New Weija Electoral area, Oduro Ampaw explained that he has announced to the people in the area to ensure that pigs and other animals are kept in confines and not left to stray.
