Operations manager of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), Ofosuhene Peprah, has downplayed the tag that WAFA are favourites to annex the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League crown.
The Academy Boys have been impressive in recent weeks with an enviable five-game winning streak and this has seen the bookmakers revise their notes for their prediction of who will be league champions.
Mr Peprah, speaking to Class Sports, mentioned they are taking it a game at a time and will see what the season finale brings them.
“It is 30 games for the season, not the 11 we have played so far. We have to guide against complacency,” he stated.
“We have to play better, ensure we don’t lose games and continue on this good form. This will warrant an automatic league success but we’ll take it a game at a time. We won’t declare ourselves favourites for the title but hopefully our hard work pays off,” he added.
