League leaders West African Football Academy (WAFA)’s mouth-watering clash with in-form Ashantigold SC has been called off by the Premier League Board (PLB).
The league governing body made this call due to the Sogakope-based club offering seven players to the Black Stars B squad set to play Togo in Lomé this weekend in an international friendly match.
Midfield duo Gideon Waja and Majeed Ashimeru lead the WAFA contingent as well as goalkeeper Razak Abalora, Richmond Lamptey, Daniel Lomotey, Musah Nuhu, and right back Caleb Amankwah who earned a late call-up on Thursday.
Coach Kwesi Appiah and his technical team are gearing up for CHAN qualifying games later this year.
