The management of Voice FM, one of the radio stations which offer its listeners an unadulterated related programmes has celebrated one year anniversary.
Speaking at the thanks given services held at the Wesley Methodist church, Dormaa Ahenkro on 1st January 2017 to mark the one year of the operations of the FM station, one of the CEOs, Mr Dabone Atta Snr. said Voice FM was introduced as an alternative to give Ghanaians a refreshing programming to make up for the loss on the airwaves, he averred.
“As the name suggest, our radio channel is there to speak for the voiceless and also ensure total happiness of our target audience, “he said.
He suggested that the management wishes to use the radio station’s programming to address very sensitive health, education and entertainment issues by identifying and supporting the needy in the society.
He noted that for the past one year, the station has religiously been involved in a lot of social activities with the aim of adding value to radio programming.
As results of this, the station has been giving away on daily basis, free fuel coupons to commercial drivers to boost their operations in partnership GOIL, SHELL and TOTAL filling stations.
Voice FM also donated some items to the Dormaa hospital children ward, Nisi Home care an orphanage in Dormaa, fed about 500 physically challenged people and finally gave out gifts to the widows and widowers within the Municipality .
