Comic boxer Braimah Kamoko alias Bukom Banku has declared his intention to run for the Presidency on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2020.
The boxer who suffered the first loss of his career last year to Bastie Samir, says he will only run if his preferred candidate former President John Mahama does not contest.
According to Banku, it is possible because being President has nothing to do with literacy but its about being forceful and strong.
The boxer told SNTV he will only run on the NDC ticket and not the New Patriotic Party because he is a member of the former.
Banku lost his unbeaten record to Bastie “The Beast” Samir on October 21 by TKO in round seven of their cruiserweight bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Banku entered the bout on the back of a 29-bout winning run could not stand the power of his younger opponent and twice visited the canvas during the bout.
The 37-year-old is yet to return to the ring after that loss.
