Ace Ghanaian actress Rama Brew has described the late George Williams as a wonderful, kind, and generous person. Rama Brew played the role of Mrs Addison, Mr Williams’ wife in the popular television series Ultimate Paradise, and the chemistry between the two got some Ghanaians wondering whether the two were not married in real life. Mr Williams died on Monday August 1 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. Reacting to his death on 505 on Class 91.3FM, Ms Brew said she was shocked. “I am in total shock, I am lost for words, I just can’t believe it. I have not spoken to him for quite some time, I have been trying to get hold of him but there seemed to be some problem with his phone or his number…” she told Emefa Apawu.
“Uncle George was a wonderful human being, he was kind, generous and fun and acting with him on Ultimate Paradise, we seemed to have a very good chemistry. That is why a lot of people actually believed that we were husband and wife. … He was a wonderful person, full of advice, he loved life, and he never held any grudges against anybody. He was a nice person,” Ms Brew said. Mr Williams was a British-trained actor who taught at the Accra Film School (AFS), an Accra-based private film and television training institute. He was 87.
