The Ranking Member on the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Okudzeto Ablakwa, is calling on the security in charge of Aisha Huang’s case to treat her the way Attah Ayi was treated.
In an interview, the Honorable member for North Tongu says the Attorney General seems to be weakening the case of the republic with how Aisha Huang’s case is been treated.
According to him, Aisha Huang’s lawyer can take advantage since the Attorney General has filed fresh charges in a different court from what she was earlier charged with.
He says Aisha Huang’s lawyer who has so many experience can take advantage on the inconsistency from the Attorney General and tell the court that the prosecution does not know what they are up to.
He added that, if the country is not careful, Aisha Huang might win the case and walk freely, however she has committed a lot of crimes which they are not seeing it on the charge sheet.
He says he does not understand how they are treating Aisha Huang, putting her in Land cruiser when going to court feels discernment because she is not special than other victims.
Hon Ablakwa further explained that he feels there is a discrimination in the way they are handling Aisha Huang’s case and says she should be treated the way Attah Ayi was treated.
