Renowned radio presenter Bismark Boachie, a.k.a DJ Premier, has criticised musicians and Ghanaians who give themselves titles in the entertainment industry to stay relevant.
The celebrated DJ spoke angrily on his weekend show dubbed “Entertainment Capital” on Accra 100.5FM on Saturday, 13 January, 2018 when interviewing new act Talaat Yaky formerly of SM Militant.
“You live in Accra and call yourself Oseikrom President, how can you be a president of a country and live in another country? We often say someone is a Dancehall King or Queen but all his hit songs are Hiplife, Highlife and Afro-pop, it’s a problem we have in the industry,” he said.
DJ Premier worked in Kumasi for many years before he moved to Accra to join Accra 100.5FM in 2015. He is the same DJ who sold his Toyota Corolla S 2008 model to purchase an IPhone 7 .
