The Paramount Stool (Dzaase) and elders of the Ga State have cautioned politicians to stay away from matters relating to Ga chieftaincy.
According to the traditional authorities, the Ga state has only one Ga Mantse, in the person of Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, who has been properly selected, elected, installed, and gazetted according to the Chieftaincy Act.
The elders said they had observed that certain individuals and elements of government had been involved in gatherings geared towards imposing onto the Ga state an “imposter” in the person of Kelvin Tackie.
The traditional authorities, in a release, said they had notified the security agencies on rumoured attempts by a group of people to invade the Ga Paramount Stool House and were calling on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to bring to order individuals within his administration trying to meddle in Ga chieftaincy affairs. “We do not want politicians to interfere in our Ga chieftaincy matters,” the release added.
The traditional authorities noted that Boni Nii Tackie Adama Latse II has been performing his customary duties without any form of challenge and will soon take his place as President of the Ga Traditional Council to see to the development and progress of the Ga State.
