The national U17 team, Black Starlets, will depart for Libreville today Friday 5 May as they gear up for the Total U-17 Africa Cup of Nations which begins on May 14 in Gabon.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian and his team leave for the tourney as they aim to acclimatise to conditions in Libreville and stand them in good stead to win the coveted trophy.
Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah is expected to visit the Starlets at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram ahead of their departure to Gabon.
Ghana is in Group A alongside hosts Gabon, Cameroon, and Guinea. The four semi-finalists will secure qualification to the 2017 FIFA World Cup in India.
Coach Fabian has named a provisional 25-man squad for the impending tourney.
