President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to appoint Justice Sophia Akuffo as the new Chief Justice, Classfmonline.com has gathered.
This follows the retirement of Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood next month.
Justice Akuffo becomes Ghana’s second female Chief Justice. She has been a judge of the Supreme Court of Ghana for over two decades.
She trained as a lawyer under Nana Akufo-Addo and has been a member of the Governing Committee of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute and the Chairperson of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Task Force.
