Music duo Keche have recounted the ordeal they go through while recording their songs in the studio.
In an interview with KMJ on Joy Prime TV on Friday, February 17, 2023, one half of the group, Joshua Kojo Ampah said some music producers do not cooperate with them in the music making process.
“Some producers are also lazy. When you tell them that ‘chale, the beat you play e no dey be. I think say you need something like this then dem dey bore,” he said.
Asked if the music producers in question do not understand their concerns, the ‘Aluguintugui’ rapper said those producers believe whatever they do is the right thing.
According to the second member of the group, Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, they usually contribute to the production process when they are making their songs.
“If you talk to any of the engineers we have worked with [I mean talk to Foxxy right now], we give them hard time in the at studio,” he said.
Keche Joshua added that sometimes some people they send their songs to, to review before they are released, end up making unpalatable comments about them.
“Anytime Keche brings out a song, you have no idea the number of people we send the song to, to listen and share their opinions on. Some will even tell you the ‘chale, Joshua all your rap be wack, go and change it,” he further stated.
Keche is known for songs like ‘Pressure’, ‘Aluguitugui’, ‘No Dulling’, among others.
