Controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale celebrates her mother on Mothers’ Day by recounting how his mother’s words concerning his music career have come true.
The ‘Gringo’ composer said his mother remains the number one woman in his life for giving him an opportunity in life.
In a Facebook post, Shatta Wale said his mother once told him that “you will be known from Ghana to Jamaica and all over the world”, adding “today I see signs of what you said and it’s happening..God bless you Mum”.
Mothers’ Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, is a special day chosen to honour motherhood and pay homage to the influence and contribution of mothers in building up a society.
It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.
