Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has made some of the hard times he went through years ago known in slow tempo song.
The ‘Dancehal King’ hitmaker reminiscing his past in the new song ‘My Star Sign’ narrated the agony he went through years ago before he met Bull Dog who revamped his career.
Shatta Wale, who said he use to rehearse live band with Blakk Rasta said, Kofi Okyere Darko known as KOD, who was his good friend worked against him on his deal with Nescafe.
He added that EIB Group boss Bola Ray had a problem with his promotional CDs and advised him to work on them because they portrayed him as a cheap artiste.
“I remember Blakk Rasta things we used to do. Live band rehearsals but it never paid you. A lot of sh*ts we went through, just to make this dream come through.”
“KOD was my hommie, me and him, all the celebration at night clubs behind the MIC but n*gger f*cked up my deal with Nescafe. I did perform for him and it was all for free.”
“Bola Ray had a problem with my promo CD, said I got to be professional that I am cheap. N*gger said I was cheap, but that was a motivation.”
Shatta Wale narrating why he stopped working with Mark Okraku Mantey said, “he said I never sold nothing and that was funny.”
He further continued that “So I met Bull Dog who told me to come to his office, put me on his label and we started taking trophies.”
