President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated 212 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) across the country.
This comes at a time some groups affiliated to the New Patriotic Party are expressing dissatisfaction with some nominees of the president.
Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, who addressed the press in Accra on Wednesday, 26 April, called for support for the MMDCEs.
This will be the last time MMDCEs will be appointed in this manner, the Minister said.
