The deceased, who died on the spot, were riding on one motorbike when the Nissan Pickup truck with registration number GT 2926 – 12 run into them as it headed to Gunjai from Salaga North in the East Gonja district where Dr Nduom was billed to hold a rally.
They included two men and a mother who was carrying a 10-month-old baby boy. The child survived the accident, according to DSP Amenu Sala, Salaga Police Commander who confirmed the incident to ClassFMonline.com. He said the bodies of the deceased have been released to their families after autopsy while the driver of the pickup is in police custody.
