Ghana’s Reggy Zippy and Bollie are in the run to making it on BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT show in the United Kingdom. The duo now known as MENN on Poinnt, with audition number 122179 has made it to the Round Two auditions.
MENN ON POINT in a Facebook update to their fans wrote,
“Yeah We Represented Ourselves n Country On Britain’s Got Talent 2015. Big Dreams Don’t Come Easy. #HardworkNDetermination
Avid hiplife lovers would never forget the impact two of Ghana’s acts made in the music scene in the early 2000’s before their sojourn in the United Kingdom.
Does “You May Kiss The Bride” ring a bell? Does the name Bollie resonate some memory? Wait! How about Reggy Zippy? I am sure “Adoma” is still fresh on the minds of many a Ghanaian music lover.
Bollie who was at the height of his musical struggle gained prominence with his ‘You May Kiss The Bride’ anthem off the ‘Sounds of Our Time’ EP by Da’ Hammer. This tune was a major hit. Not much has been hid about Bolie thereafter.
“Da Most Honorable Zippy Of The M. O. P A. K. A Sodium Di Catalister” was one sure introduction to prompt you that Reggy Zippy was on another banger of a track. Reggy Zippy is now domiciled in the UK with his family.
Apparently these talented acts have been busy working on their musical careers. Reggy Zippy together with Bolie are now known as MENN on Poinnt.
According to the groups biography on social media site Facebook,
“MENN on Poinnt IS A UNIQUE AND VIBRANT AWARD WINNING POP AND WORLD MUSIC BAND MADE UP OF BOLLIE AND REGGY. THE TYPE OF SONGS THESE TALENTED LADS CHURN OUT ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BUT IRRESISTIBLE. WICKED BEATZ, SIMPLE MELODIES AND THOUGHT PROVOKING LYRICS”.
The band, which released ‘Turn It Up’ and ‘Celebrate’ in 2014, is set to release a ‘World Class’ banger in April.
