Tonifel Enterprise has emerged the National Best Distributor at the 2018 Promasidor Ghana Limited’s Distributors Awards held on Saturday.
The Accra based company owned by Mrs Felicia Banahene topped over 100 distributors across the country to win the ultimate prize of a distribution van.
Tonifel has now won the prize for the second time in a row after winning their first in 2017 though the company has been working with Promasidor for only seven years.
Maaltima Limited was adjudged the second best distributor and took home GH¢50,000 while Mrs.Theresa Tuffuor’s Jatrad Enterprise came third and received GH¢30,000 for their efforts.
The Fastest Growing Distributor award went to Rich-Duks from Ashanti Region after recording the highest growth rate for the year 2018.
In all 69 awards were presented to distributors across the country for their role in promoting Promasidor Ghana’s brands including Cowbell, Onga,Yumvita. and Miksi.
The ultimate winner, Mrs. Banahene expressed appreciation to the company for honouring distributors for the efforts throughout the year.
“I’m very proud and happy to win this award though the journey has not been easy. We look forward to this year and hope to win more awards at the end of the year, “she stated.
She said, she would work hard to expand her territory and would count on Promasidor for their support to meet her targets this year.
Managing Director for Promasidor, Mr.Festus Tettey congratulated the ultimate winners for their efforts in promoting the company’s products across the country.
“This is to appreciate partners or distributors as they are very crucial to what we do as a company. They have been very supportive in 2018 and we need to acknowledge them as we look forward to this year and subsequent years,” he stated.
The move also formed part of activities ahead of their 20 years anniversary celebrations in Ghana adding that more customers would be rewarded for their efforts.
Mr.Tettey who took over as the new MD in January this year said, the few months have been tough following the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar.
“We look forward to a great year as we work towards building a very strong business, understanding customers and providing a win-win situation for all stakeholders,” he stressed.
Commercial Director at Promasidor, Samir Sadaoui added that, the company was working towards becoming the number one in Ghana.
“That is why we need to reward our loyal distributors for their efforts over the years and urge them to continue supporting us to achieve our objectives,” he stated.
