Emma Watson has launched legal action against hackers who stole and shared private photos of her online.
The Beauty And The Beast star has said photos of her trying on outfits during a fitting have been stolen and shared online.
Her spokesman did not give details on who stole the images, but said the photos, although private, were uncompromising.
“Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen,” he said.
“They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further.”
Watson joins a long list of celebrities who have taken legal action on photo hacking scandals.
Actresses Amanda Seyfried and Mischa Barton were the latest to speak over leaked sex photos and videos.
Seyfried’s legal team said it is suing a website for posting nude photos of the Mamma Mia! star.
Celebrity gossip magazine TMZ reported the hack included images of “intimate moments” between Seyfried and her ex-boyfriend.
The 31-year-old star is now pregnant and engaged to Newsroom actor Thomas Sadoski.
Meanwhile Barton announced she was taking action to stop the potential sale of a sex tape made without her consent.
“I came forward to fight this not only for myself but for all the women out there,” the OC star said.
“I want to protect them from the pain and humiliation that I have had to go through. No woman should have to go through this.”
Last month, a 29-year-old man was jailed for nine months for the so-called “Celeb gate”. He was accused of hacking into the electronic accounts of celebrities and stealing private information, including nude videos and photos.
Hundreds of private photos were shared online, including the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst.
Watson’s photos were shared on the so-called “dark web”, days after her controversial Vanity Fair shoot in which the Harry potter star appeared with a revealing top.
The actress was criticised for not keeping with her feminist stand and her image as a United Nations women goodwill ambassador.
In response to her critics, the actress said she did not understand what her “t*** had to do with feminism”.
