He passed away Sunday, 2 October at about 7 p.m. at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) where had been taken for medical care.
Dr Abdulai had a long battle with thyroid cancer until his death.
President John Mahama, upon learning of Dr Abdulai’s predicament in May had him flown to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for care.
Dr Choggu Abdulai was a benefactor to many patients at the TTH and other clinics in the region.
