A United States-based Ghanaian philanthropist, Mary Mensah, has donated goods and sanitary materials worth $5,000 to the Osu Children’s Home and Eye of the Lord Orphanage at Nsawam.
She explained that the donation, which forms part of her vision of setting up an orphanage in the future, was meant to encourage children and make them feel loved and accepted in society.
She urged other philanthropists and corporate organisations to support and sponsor orphans in order to receive more blessings from the Lord.
Mrs Mensah pledged her continuous support for all orphans in Ghana and hoped to increase her donations to more orphanages during her next visit to Ghana.
Receiving the items, the Director of the Osu Children’s Home, Christiana Addo, expressed appreciation for the donation.
She commended Mrs Mensah and the husband for their compassion and continuous support for the children.
