A Kasoa-based man of God, Prophet Samuel Asomaning is alleged to have ordered for the burial of his church elder’s wife placenta behind his church auditorium.
The victim, who is a mother of three, narrating the incident on Asempa FM’s Mid-morning show, “ABRABO” said she and her husband have been in a close relationship with the prophet for years as it was through him that they moved from Kumasi to resettle at Kasoa in the Central region.
“He is more of a brother to my husband than a family friend and we trust him very much so it hurts me [that] he played on my intelligence to get something of that sort done to my family,” the victim confessed.
According to the victim’s sister-in-law who only gave her name as Mabel, she took her brother’s wife to a Kasoa-based clinic to deliver late last year, so during the delivery, she had a call from their prophet instructing her to give the phone to a particular nurse.
She said after the prophet’s conversation with the nurse, she was handed her in-laws placenta for burial because the nurse said they do not have a place to dispose of it.
Mabel after receiving the placenta said the prophet called her back as if he is already aware of the situation at the clinic, to instruct her to bury the placenta behind their church compound.
Recalling the prophet’s instruction, Mabel said they now believe that the prophet conspired with the midwife in charge to give them the placenta to be buried at his church.
The victim during the interview on the show confessed that she saw the placenta in the car, but she did not care to ask more questions about it since her baby was of her main concern.
The young brother of the victim whose name was given as Kobby, was upon his arrival at home instructed by the prophet to bury the placenta at the church compound, which he did.
A year on, the victim said she started experiencing some strange ailment with regards to her menstruation which prompted her to seek for spiritual assistance from a different man of God.
According to her, it was during the church service that the man of God told her God has revealed to him the implications of the burial of her placenta at Prophet Asomaning’s auditorium.
The man of God in an interview on the show denied vehemently, describing the situation as a plot against him to disgrace and destroy his service to God.
A brother-in-law of the Prophet who gave his name as Sarfo while commenting on the show confirmed the allegation against the prophet.
He further accused his sister’s husband (the Prophet) of having openly declared to his wife during one of his church service when he was not in church that he will spiritually divert his wealth to his wife and render him useless.
