The Ga East Municipal Assembly has cordoned off some part of the Dome market to the public due to ongoing construction works in the market.
The construction works forms part of the Assembly’s market redevelopment agenda.
A statement signed by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Joshua Adams Asihene, said: “We are aware of the inconvenience the current pavement construction might have created. However, we believe the project is to the benefit of the public as the assembly seeks to improve upon the conditions in the market to ameliorate the suffering of traders/patrons in the face of perennial flooding whenever it rains.”
The assembly further cautioned all patrons of the market to desist from encroaching upon the project areas.
