The Registrar General’s Department has launched an online registration portal for businesses and companies across the country as part of government’s efforts to create a business friendly environment and build a stronger economy.
The introduction of the E-certificate, according to the department, will help reduce the hardship prospective company owners go through in registering businesses, reduce human interface and cut down on unapproved fees associated with registration.
The move, which is a public-private partnership, forms part of the E-Ghana project.
The Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, speaking at the launch in Accra on Thursday, 19 October 2017 said measures have been put in place to address challenges associated with government digitising the economy.
