Hiplife artiste Omanhene Pozo on Wednesday, September 21 – Founder’s Day – passed away at the 37 Military Hospital.
Pozo was on admission at the Neurosurgical Ward of the hospital for a brain-related condition.
He had been unwell since November 2015 but his condition deteriorated this year.
The ‘Wasei’ hitmaker gained popularity in the late ’90s as a member of the hiplife group Nananom.
He went solo and can be remembered for blending rap with old highlife songs composed by veteran musicians like Alhaji K. Frimpong, C. K. Mann, and Ewurama Badu.
