Thousands have been displaced in the Northern region following several hours of torrential rainfall that submerged some communities on Sunday July 24.
One person is reported to have died in the floods.
The rains which lasted hours on Sunday submerged areas such as Gumani, Asawaba, Sagnarigu-Kukuo, jisonayili among others.
Properties and livestock worth millions of cedis were washed away by the floods.
Meanwhile, the Northern Regional office of the National Disaster Management Office is yet to respond to the needs of the affected communities.
