Residents in the Nkrumah flats at Laterbiokoshie in Accra were almost evicted by a horde of irate youth belonging to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Monday, 9 January.
The young men, numbering about 100 had a clash with the police in their attempt to evict the residents.
They have given the residents up to Tuesday, 10 January to vacate the flats or face their wrath.
The Nkrumah flats were not the only state facilities invaded by NPP supporters on Monday. Similar actions were taken at the Tema Habour, Passport Office, some NHIS offices in the Northern Region as well as the Youth Enterprise Agency up north.
