A National Chairman hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ntim, has said he is more qualified to become the next national Chairman of the NPP.
According to him, he has the experience, the integrity, the pedigree to occupy the position, and has also made a lot of sacrifices for the party – qualities he believes put him ahead of his competitors.
Mr Ntim told Agyin Barima, sit-in host of Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM on Friday, 22 December that, but for democracy, he would have contested unopposed.
The NPP is preparing for its internal elections to elect executives to steer affairs of the party for the next four years.
This will be Mr Ntim’s fourth attempt at becoming the national Chair of the NPP.
“It will be ideal to go unopposed because of my mettle, because of my experience, integrity, pedigree and my sacrifice but because of democracy, the other contestants can come to contest against me. Fortunately, the grassroots are saying it’s my time,” he said.
